Did he attack you? If so that breaks the unofficial NAP we had with him...still this relates to my point of always being ready

Re: Crushing Hisoka
Didn't know we had an unofficial NAP. Crushing hisoka's army will force him to keep it though, at least for a some time. He attacked me a few weeks ago, and now that I am creating a large army I was thinking it might be a good time to attack him. Did we ever attack hishoka when he wasn't expecting it, leaving him at ZERO generals? I want that to happen sometime.

This is my point of not being reactionary. If we do this we'll end up causing diplomatic problems while if you had attacked right afterwards we could have defended our reasoning. I'll see if anyone else has been attacked that way we can justify our reasoning.

Just keep your armies to yourself for a little while. If we find that he attacks someone again, we'll just station troops in the towns that he's attacked and take his army out that way. Kind of like we did with that guy hero kiet when he was harassing flyingleyend

I think I have attacked hisoka once, but that was when he was inactive. Btw Flyingleyend is being harrased by Kaposama now. I think we should crush his army.

OK that sounds like a good idea, it seems like Flyingleyend is getting attacked almost once a day. I will need some help though.

I'm just curious as to what's the plan. I might help out this time.
Are you going to station troops in Flyingleyend's town and wait for Kaposama to attack him again?

You might better get to know me as an aggressive player rather than a defensive one. I will see what I will do. Preferably, I not only crush his army, but get loot. He's asking for it after all.

Re: Crushing Hisoka
His army is huge. 339 swords, 635 hops, 93 gunners, 40 cats, 31 sg, 23 bombers, 70 gyros, 823 spears, 47 cooks, and 12 docs. I might be able to kill him, but I have 70 gyros, about 330 sgs, 250 swords, 140 gunners, 70 gyros, 17 bombers, 30 cooks, 15 docs, and 5 mortars. I might be able to kill off nearly all bombers and gyros and nearly all hops and swords. That's it. I think that is his entire army. the spears I guess adds to a bluff and also the hops. My sgs should take care of all hops and spears. Maybe swords.

I don't know where his towns are, but he stations troops and Norrisville. He is from -A- Also his general score is about 3800 points. I can build mine up if I need to.

Um Ming, I remember reading somewhere that when it comes to swordsmen, who ever has more wins the battle. That's because they're great at holding the flanks if you want to beat him, you need more swordsmen than he has.
Of course you can always choose not to believe me; I mean what do I know? I have no army

Re: Crushing Hisoka
I don't know, but that situation is irrelevant.
What you need to understand is composition of your army. This is a lesson I have learned from playing Empire: Total War; the size of your army isn't the most deciding factor of victory (usually).
It's all about composition. Because swordsmen are flank fighters, once all your swordsmen are gone, (if the enemy still has theirs) the enemy swordsmen will outflank your units. That means your units are fighting enemies in front and to the sides (flanks). In other words, you're surrounded. And unless you have like 500 more units than the enemy they will (most likely) win.

Dont SG's use munitions like catpults and such? If you run out of munitions on any munition type mob they become useless?

Re: Crushing Hisoka
Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking since they are steam powered the possibility of running out of juice could be a problem:-)
On the same note tho. If you attack with hops and sg's ( SG's are more powerful) Why does the game put hops in first. Kinda contradictory to the write ups of Ikariam strongest first. Cause hops have shields maybe?
